Toddlers Room Program

Toddlers Room Program

Our Toddler room is equipped for exploration and learning for children aged 2-3 years. Both the indoor and outdoor environments are designed to create an environment that is home like, nurturing and stimulating, whilst still providing appropriate levels of challenges and risks that toddlers crave for.

As toddlers develop, their communication skills develop, and they learn to focus, discover, explore, and play. Through our Toddler Room Program, your child is exposed to new challenges. Our qualified early childhood educators help your child develop their interests and strengths through a curriculum of play-based learning activities that promote a hands-on learning style that helps children gain sensory sensitivity, creativity, and independence.

KAELC also offers an early experience in the scientific concepts of daily life by organising fun-based science activities for toddlers. Children are also provided with opportunities to get engaged in Yoga, Music and Movement, Show and Tell, Group Time, Early Literacy and Numeracy skills, Art and Craft, Sensory Exploration, Incursions, and Indoor-Outdoor Experiences. This program supports the children to achieve their milestones in the developmental area of Physical well-being, Cognitive Skills, Social and Emotional well-being, and Language skills.

We develop the curriculum around the relationships children have with their families and communities, collaborating with their parents to ensure that each child’s knowledge, ideas, culture, abilities, and interests are the foundation of our program.

Our educators will assist to ensure that our program reflects the principles and practices of the National Early Learning Framework, The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), with the following five learning outcomes:

Outcome 1: Children have a strong sense of identity

Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world

Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing

Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners

Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators
